Job summary

Environment Canterbury is seeking an experienced information management professional to lead the technical direction of its M365 suite, including SharePoint, Purview and Content Manager. This fixed-term full-time parental leave cover focuses on governance, information architecture, automation, and secure, discoverable data across the organisation.

You will mentor staff, translate governance requirements into practical solutions, and drive ICT improvements while collaborating with stakeholders

Qualifications

Minimum five years' experience in enterprise information management.
Advanced Microsoft 365 expertise, including automation and workflow technologies.
Experience embedding legislative, compliance and governance requirements into system design.
Strong technical leadership, mentoring and quality assurance experience.
A qualification in Information Management or Information Systems, with Microsoft certifications viewed favourably.

Responsibilities

Lead the technical direction of M365, SharePoint, Purview and Content Manager platforms.
Design metadata, taxonomy and information architecture frameworks that improve discoverability and governance.
Embed legislative, privacy and records management requirements into technical solutions and controls.
Drive automation and workflow improvements through Power Platform technologies.
Mentor Knowledge Management Advisors and Officers while providing technical quality assurance and guidance.
