Job summary

Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) is seeking aSenior Developer to design, build and maintain high-performance microservices using Java and Spring Boot. You will optimise Kubernetes-based infrastructure, automate CI/CD pipelines and integrate critical systems to ensure data continuity across Corporate and Financial platforms.

You will contribute to platform lifecycle upgrades, security enhancements and resilience improvements, while mentoring teammates in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and manage automated CI/CD pipelines for containerised services.
• Manage and optimise Kubernetes-based infrastructure for scalability and performance.
• Integrate critical upstream and downstream systems to ensure data continuity.
• Provide lifecycle support including upgrades, patching and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance microservices using Java and Spring Boot to support Corporate and Financial business functions.
• Manage and optimise Kubernetes-based infrastructure, ensuring scalability and performance across the microservices architecture.
• Develop and manage automated CI/CD pipelines to deploy containerised microservices into Kubernetes.
• Manage and optimise integration workflows between critical upstream and downstream systems to ensure data continuity and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical support for platform lifecycles, including planning and executing upgrades, patching, and continuous platform enhancements.
