Job summary

NextGen Mobile Repairs and Accessories in Invercargill is seeking an experienced IT Hardware Technician to diagnose, repair, configure and upgrade mobile devices, laptops and desktops. The role covers chip-level PCB repair, fault finding and job supervision in a busy workshop.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 7 Diploma and have 4+ years in hardware repair, with strong soldering skills and the ability to support customers and maintain workshop operations.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Level 7 Diploma in IT/ electronics or equivalent.
• 4+ years hands-on repair experience with computers/devices.
• Strong soldering and PCB repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose hardware and software faults in mobiles, laptops and desktops.
• Perform chip-level/PCB repairs and component replacements.
• Install, configure and upgrade computer hardware and operating systems.
• Provide in-store and on-site support to customers and manage workshop workflows.
