Job summary

Fultonhogan is seeking a skilled ICT and Telecommunication Technician to join our team in New Zealand. The role focuses on designing, installing, and maintaining complex network infrastructure including fibre optic systems and VoIP technologies.

You will conduct outside plant fibre installations, test networks, and support telecommunications systems to ensure minimal downtime and high reliability across projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain network infrastructure.
• Conduct outside plant fibre optic installations and terminations.
• Test and optimize networks for seamless operations.
• Test with OTDR, splice machine, source meter, and power meter.
• Operate RF testers and analyzers for high‑quality network performance.
• Provide O&M support for telecommunications systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot Class 5 soft switch systems.
• Test VoIP protocols for reliable, secure communications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement telecom solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve issues to minimise downtime.
