Job summary

Meridian Energy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership for our large hydro and wind generation sites. You will navigate complex capital upgrades, plant breakdowns, and asset strategies while mentoring the next generation of engineers.

The role is largely office-based with some project-site periods, offering a competitive salary and benefits. You’ll contribute to sustainability initiatives and work within Meridian’s Generation business unit to deliver reliable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent) and professional experience in the consulting or engineering industry.
• Experience with maintenance, projects, commissioning, and asset management in the power generation, transmission, or heavy electrical fields.
• Understanding of project delivery methodologies, electrical industry compliance, asset management, and health and safety best practices.
• A keenness to own the outcome and provide technical leadership beyond your normal swim lane.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.

• Provide technical leadership across electrical engineering disciplines.
