Job summary

ARE Services is expanding its projects team in Queenstown. The role focuses on hands-on installation and commissioning of high-end residential and commercial HVAC systems, including kitchen extract and ducting.

You will work directly with clients on-site and manage on-site teams. The ideal candidate has strong project leadership, plans-reading ability, and a valid NZ driver licence with EST licence; experience with Daikin VRV and Mitsubishi City Multi is a plus.

The Role

We're growing our projects team and looking for an experienced technician to hit the ground running.

You'll be involved in the installation and commissioning of High End Residential HVAC systems, Commercial HVAC systems, Kitchen Extract Systems and ducting - all in a varied, fast-paced environment where your skills and initiative will be valued.

This is a hands-on role where you'll work directly with clients on-site, so being professional and customer-focused is just as important as your technical ability.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

• Running commercial HVAC and ventilation installation projects
• Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
• Installing commercial ducting and ventilation systems
• Installing commercial kitchen extract and make-up air systems
• Installing Daikin VRV and Mitsubishi City Multi systems
• Managing labourers and apprentices on site
• Pressure testing, evacuation and commissioning assistance
• Liaising with builders, consultants and clients
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and site safety

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:
