Department of Conservation - Te Papa Atawhai (DOC) seeks a Senior Health Safety and Security Systems and Assurance Advisor to lead the development and refinement of safety and security systems and provide robust assurance across the organisation. The role will analyse complex data, identify emerging risks, and deliver governance reporting to senior leaders.

You will influence improvements, engage stakeholders, and travel as required to support systemic resilience and risk-informed decision

Qualifications

• Experience in health, safety and security systems, assurance, investigations, reporting or performance improvement.
• Strong knowledge of risk management principles, assurance methodologies and management systems.
• Advanced analytical capability and ability to translate complex information into practical insights.
• Experience producing governance reports, briefings and performance reporting.
• Strong understanding of data quality and reporting tools.

Responsabilités

• Lead development, review and continuous improvement of health, safety and security systems, standards and guidance.
• Deliver assurance activities, reviews and evaluations to measure system effectiveness and control performance.
• Analyse data, trends and performance to provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
• Develop governance reporting, dashboards, briefings and performance measures for senior leaders.
• Provide specialist advice on systems, assurance, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
