Job summary

Bureau Limited is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer (Frontend / Sitecore CMS) to join our Digital team in New Zealand. The role is heavily front-end oriented (70–80%), with collaboration across digital stakeholders to deliver customer-facing platforms.

You will work on a mobile-responsive website redesign, CMS reviews, and a longer-term platform overhaul, employing React/Next.js/TypeScript alongside Sitecore and back-end integrations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years’ strong commercial experience in software development with frontend focus.
• Hands-on experience with Sitecore CMS (essential) – incl. development, enhancements and integrations.
• Experience with modern frontend technologies and responsive web development (React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, jQuery)

• Design, develop and support reliable, secure customer-facing digital applications and platforms (heavily weighted toward front-end)
• Build modern, mobile-responsive front-end solutions using current web technologies, alongside back-end, CMS (Sitecore) and integration work
• Contribute clean, well-structured and maintainable code that supports ongoing platform stability and improvement
• Maintain applications through sound engineering practices, CI/CD pipelines and change management controls
• Analyse technical problems, provide practical solution options, and contribute to technical discussions that improve quality, scalability, accessibility and maintainability
• Provide technical input, estimates and documentation to support successful delivery of Digital initiatives, including the upcoming website redesign, CMS review and longer-term platform overhaul

Senior Full Stack Developer (Frontend / Sitecore CMS)

Overview: Join a well-recognised retail insurance company known for its strong brand and customer service focus. This is a full-stack role with a heavy front-end emphasis (approximately 70-80% front-end / 20-30% back-end). You will design, develop, support and continuously improve the organisation’s digital platforms and customer-facing applications.

The role sits at the centre of an exciting roadmap that includes a mobile-responsive website redesign, a CMS review within the next 12 months, and a full website overhaul in 1-2 years.

The Role: Reporting to the Engineering / Development Lead, you will sit in the Digital team and work closely with Digital, testing, project and business stakeholders. You will deliver primarily front-end solutions while applying practical full-stack capability, contributing clean, well-structured code and helping drive continuous improvement across the company’s digital platforms.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum of 4 years’ strong commercial experience in software development and support, with a clear front-end focus
• Hands‑on experience with Sitecore CMS (essential) – inc. development, enhancements and integrations
• Experience with modern front‑end technologies such as React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, jQuery and responsive web development
• Proven experience working on customer‑facing websites, CMS enhancements and integrations
• Experience with Microsoft backend technologies i.e., C#.NET, SQL
• Solid understanding of secure development practices, accessibility, performance, maintainability and code quality
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and DevOps toolchains (Azure DevOps/Git, package management, CI/CD pipelines)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently, assess options and make sound technical recommendations
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
