Sandfield Associates in Auckland is seeking an Intermediate Full-Stack Software Developer to bridge business needs with cutting-edge technology. You will work on projects for leading Australasian brands, building scalable applications on the Microsoft stack and collaborating with clients to deliver real impact.

Qualifications

• Full-stack experience building web applications using the Microsoft stack (C#, .NET Core/WebAPI).
• Strong SQL Server database design and querying abilities.

We primarily use the Microsoft stack to build web‑based applications, with some opportunities for mobile development. Full‑stack experience is ideal, but not required. We'll support you in developing your skills.

Requirements:

Required:

• Full-Stack Mindset: Solid experience building web applications using the Microsoft stack (C#, .NET Core/WebAPI).
• Database Fundamentals: Comfortable designing and querying SQL Server databases.
• Communication: You are comfortable working directly with customers. You enjoy translating business requirements into technical solutions and supporting those solutions in production.

We’ll Also Love To See:

• Modern Frontend: Experience with React and TypeScript.
• Legacy Flexibility: If you haven’t worked with modern frameworks, experience with MVC or WebForms is a great foundation.
• Tooling: Familiarity with Git for version control.
• AI-Driven Development: Experience using (or a strong curiosity about) AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar to accelerate your workflow.
• Performance Tuning: Experience optimising application performance and database queries.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Experience creating and managing DevOps pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps)
