Job summary

Randstad's client is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and scale complex digital solutions using C#/.NET. You will architect data models across SQL Server and NoSQL databases, apply SOLID and DDD, and deploy containerized services to Azure with Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience with GraphQL is a plus, and a strong Agile background is expected to deliver prioritized backlog items with solid technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Senior-level proficiency in C# / .NET core services and backend integration.
• Deep expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases with SOLID and DDD applied.
• Hands-on Azure, Docker, Kubernetes and automated CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs following SOLID and DDD.

• Scale and optimize performance in high-traffic environments with sub-second responses.

The Role

We are seeking a specialist Senior Backend Engineer to facilitate the development, scaling, and modernization of complex digital solutions.

Key Duties

• Design & Build: Implement scalable backend services and APIs using C# / .NET, strictly adhering to SOLID principles and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Data Ecosystems: Architect, optimize, and orchestrate complex relational (SQL Server) and NoSQL data structures.
• Scale & Optimize: Perform technical troubleshooting and performance tuning in high-traffic environments to ensure sub-second response times.
• Automate: Deploy containerized microservices to Azure using Docker, Kubernetes (k8s), and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps).
• Operational Support: Participate in on-call shifts, incident management, and technical handovers while mentoring peers and driving quality governance.

Skills & Experience Required

• Backend Mastery: Senior-level proficiency in C# / .NET core services and backend integration.
• Data & Architecture: Deep expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, alongside strong application of SOLID and DDD architectural principles. Experience with GraphQL is highly beneficial.
• Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on commercial experience with Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Performance: Proven background in optimizing code and tuning performance for high-availability, high-traffic digital platforms.
• Delivery: Strong Agile background with a track record of delivering prioritized backlog items and comprehensive technical documentation.
