Job summary

The Electoral Commission seeks a Manager Financial Planning and Analysis to lead financial planning, performance management, and business partnering across the organisation. Reporting to the Director, Finance, you will lead a team of finance professionals delivering accurate, timely financial information to support planning and decision-making.

This fixed-term role runs until June 2027, with a salary band of $170,690 to $190,660.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in financial analysis, ideally in the public sector.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience submitting complex funding bids and developing financial business cases for Treasury.
• Advanced skills in financial modelling, analysis tools, and reporting systems.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong relationship-building skills with executive leadership and board.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial planning, performance management and business partnering advice across the organisation.
• Prepare and model financial information for funding bids and Treasury business cases.
• Translate strategy into financial plans and provide trusted advice to Executive Leadership and the Board.
• Build trusted relationships with internal and external senior stakeholders.
• Lead and develop a team of finance professionals.
