Job summary

WSP in New Zealand seeks a Team Lead - Fire and Life Safety to shape a national practice across Auckland, Christchurch, Hamilton or Wellington. You will lead and develop the Fire and Life Safety team, set direction, drive capability, and optimise resourcing to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.

You will translate business goals into practical action, manage projects and client relationships, and contribute to proposals and market growth while collaborating with colleagues across centres.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification and Chartered Engineer status.
10+ years in fire & life safety engineering.
Proven people leadership and coaching capability.
Strong business and commercial acumen.
Experience identifying BD opportunities and maintaining client relationships.
Clear, engaging communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Fire and Life Safety team across NZ.
Provide clear direction, build capability and manage resourcing.
Maintain technical quality and governance on projects.
Contribute to proposals, market development and client presentations.
Guide complex project delivery and deliver strong commercial outcomes.
