Job summary

WSP is seeking a Manager, Fire and Life Safety Engineering to lead the Fire and Life Safety team from one of our main NZ centres (Auckland, Christchurch, Hamilton or Wellington). Based in a main centre location, you will guide project delivery, develop the team and contribute to business growth while upholding technical quality across projects.

The role emphasizes leadership, strategic thinking and strong client engagement to deliver high-quality engineering solutions for a broad client base

Qualifications

10+ years of fire & life safety engineering experience.
Established people leadership with coaching and capability development.
Strategic thinking and sound judgement with translating goals into actions.
Strong business and commercial acumen including project and financial management in professional services.
Proven ability to identify and convert business development opportunities and build client relationships.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Fire and Life Safety team across NZ locations.
Maintain technical quality and embed regular learning across projects.
Guide complex project delivery and contribute to business growth through governance, proposals and market development.
Build trusted client relationships and deliver strong commercial outcomes.
