Job summary

Jensen Hughes is seeking an experienced Senior Fire Engineer in Auckland to lead a diverse range of fire safety projects. You will work with clients, design teams and on-site personnel to deliver practical, compliant solutions that meet the New Zealand Building Code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Structural, Civil or related field is required.
• Masters in Fire Engineering is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code and fire safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on fire safety engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Develop and assess fire engineering solutions that meet NZ Building Code requirements and standards.
• Work directly with clients and project teams to understand challenges and explain technical issues.
• Think creatively to improve outcomes and challenge conventional approaches when appropriate.
• Participate in site inspections, construction inspections and final inspections.
• Prepare and review technical reports and project documentation.
• Mentor developing engineers and collaborate with a wider Jensen Hughes team.
