Job summary

Jensen Hughes in Auckland is seeking an experienced Fire Engineer to lead diverse fire safety projects and work directly with clients. You will navigate from design through construction, ensuring practical, code-compliant solutions while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the growth of Jensen Hughes in New Zealand.

Qualifications

• You have a recognised engineering degree with NZ Building Code knowledge.
• Experience in fire engineering or fire safety compliance is preferred.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input and leadership on fire safety engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Develop fire engineering solutions meeting New Zealand Building Code requirements and standards.
• Work directly with clients and project teams to understand challenges and deliver practical solutions.
• Attend site visits, inspections and contribute to project documentation and reporting.
• Mentor developing engineers and contribute to growing Jensen Hughes' presence in New Zealand.
