Qualifications

• 5+ years in a finance-focused analytical role.
• Experience FP&A, Finance Business Partnering, or related areas.
• Strong modelling, forecasting and analytical capability.
• Experience working with complex financial and operational data.
• CA qualification or equivalent.

• Lead analysis of financial and operational performance across multiple business areas.
• Investigate trends, variances, cost drivers, and emerging issues.
• Develop financial models, forecasts, and scenario analysis.
• Evaluate savings and improvement programmes to ensure benefits are realised.

The Role

This newly created Senior Financial Analyst position sits within the finance team supporting a large and complex operating environment. Rather than focusing solely on traditional reporting and management accounting, this role is centred on understanding the story behind the numbers.

You will provide high-quality financial and operational analysis that helps senior leaders better understand performance, identify opportunities, validate improvement initiatives, and make informed decisions. Working across a diverse stakeholder group, you will connect operational activity with financial outcomes and deliver insights that drive meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Leading analysis of financial and operational performance across multiple business areas
• Investigating trends, variances, cost drivers, and emerging issues
• Developing financial models, forecasts, and scenario analysis
• Evaluating savings and improvement programmes to ensure benefits are realised
• Supporting business cases, planning initiatives, and strategic projects
• Translating complex information into practical insights and recommendations
• Working closely with finance, operational leaders, and regional stakeholders to improve decision-making
• Supporting the development of consistent reporting, analytics, and performance measures across the organisation

Role Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in a finance-focused analytical role
• Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance, Management Accounting, Performance & Insights, Strategic Finance, or Benefits Realisation
• Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical capability
• Experience working with complex financial and operational data
• CA qualification or equivalent professional qualification
• The ability to influence senior decision-makers through data-driven insights
• A naturally curious mindset with strong problem-solving capability
