Job summary

H2R Consulting – Wellington Central, North Island is partnering with a respected NZ government agency to appoint a Senior Financial Accountant in Wellington CBD. The role involves handling core financial statements, general ledger maintenance and statutory reporting within a collaborative finance function.

You will work across CFIS reporting and bankable FMIS such as Oracle, Technology One or SAP, in a flexible home/office setup with permanent employment and security in a vibrant government

Qualifications

• CA or CPA certification.
• Able to prepare financial statements and handle general ledger maintenance.
• Provide detailed monthly board and statutory reports.
• Comfortable with CFIS reporting.
• Solid tax compliance and accounting standards knowledge.
• Experience with a large FMIS such as Oracle, Technology One or SAP.
• Exposure to departmental, crown or ministerial government accounting environments.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and maintain general ledger.
