Job summary
BG&E is seeking a Senior Façade Engineer in Christchurch to lead façade design and delivery for signature building projects. You will work within BG&E’s global façade team, collaborating with architects, developers and contractors to ensure robust, cost-effective solutions.
The role requires proven façade engineering experience, strong NZ code knowledge, and an active or developing chartership. You will drive quality, safety and performance while mentoring peers in a dynamic, growth-focused
Qualifications
- Degree in structural or related engineering field.
- Proven façade design/engineering experience.
- Chartered status or working toward chartership.
- Strong knowledge of NZ codes and council processes.
- Portfolio of façade projects across scales.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide façade consultant services for NZ projects and lead design delivery.
- Lead and manage the façade design team and multi-disciplinary interfaces.
- Ensure quality, cost effectiveness, and timely project outcomes.
- Review contractor submissions, shop drawings and calculations.
- Mentor junior engineers and drafters; support design reviews.
