Job summary

Beca Group in Christchurch, New Zealand is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead cross‑disciplinary buildings and infrastructure projects, guiding delivery from initiation through handover.

You will build strong client relationships, apply robust governance and financial controls, mentor junior staff, and contribute strategic, commercial insight across sectors such as aviation, defence, education and transport.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of demonstrated experience in buildings and infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of the local market and operating environment.
• Tertiary qualifications aligned to construction project management consulting.
• Experience in design management, planning and delivery, and strategic advice.
• Ability to build relationships and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of NZS 391X contracts and Engineer's Representative experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects from initiation to handover.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships with tailored PM solutions.
• Apply governance, risk management and financial controls.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and lead teams.
• Mentor junior team members and develop capability.
• Contribute strategic thinking and commercial insight.
• Apply NZS 391X contracts knowledge in project delivery.
