Job summary

RobLawMax Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction and property development projects from inception to delivery in New Zealand. You will coordinate stakeholders, consultants, and contractors, ensuring time, budget, and quality targets are met.

The role requires strong leadership, solid programme and risk management, and a proven track record across office, retail, or mixed-use developments.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering commercial construction or property development projects.
• Experience across sectors such as office, retail, mixed-use, industrial, healthcare, education, hospitality or large-scale commercial facilities.
• Strong understanding of design management, procurement, programme management, and project delivery.
• Experience managing consultants, contractors, and key project stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Ability to proactively manage project risks, budgets, and timelines.
• Solutions-focused mindset with strong leadership capability.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial development projects through all project phases.
• Lead project planning, design management, procurement, and delivery activities.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets, and risk registers.
• Manage consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and maintain strong client relationships.
• Coordinate tender processes and contractor procurement.
• Monitor project performance and ensure delivery against objectives.
• Oversee reporting, governance, and project controls.
• Provide proactive leadership and strategic project advice.
