Job summary

Resideo's Innovation team seeks a Principal Software Engineer focused on edge computing. You will architect and build the next generation edge runtime and spatial intelligence platforms that connect home devices and data.

This hands-on role requires deep systems expertise and strong leadership to turn ideas into prototypes and production systems, collaborating across IoT, embedded, mobile, and cloud disciplines while mentoring peers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on software development in compiled languages (Rust, C/C++, or Go).
• Foundational software systems engineering experience (databases, OS, compilers, networking, virtualization).
• Experience in an R&D, prototyping, or exploratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and build core components of edge computing platforms.
• Develop an edge runtime and integration platform for home devices.
• Create models and knowledge structures for device and home information.
