Job summary

Architectuall company in Auckland seeks a Senior Draftsperson with 10+ years' NZ experience to join our Pakuranga studio. You will lead design documentation and coordinate across the project team.

You will mentor juniors, manage consent submissions and RFIs, and participate in on-site phases of residential, multi-unit residential, and commercial projects. Proficiency in Revit BIM360 and AutoCAD is required, along with strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in New Zealand.
• Experience on residential, multi-unit residential, and commercial projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• NZ Standards and Building Code knowledge (NZS 3604).

Job description

We are seeking a full-time Senior Draftsperson for Architectuall company with a minimum of 10 years experience in New Zealand, to join our studio located in Pakuranga, East Auckland.

In this role, you will work with a team of professionals. You will also provide mentorship to junior team members, ensuring a high standard of design documentation and coordination across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality design outcomes across multi-unit residential and commercial projects
• Manage the building consent submission RFI`s and approval process
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients at various stages of the project lifecycle
• Prepare monthly reports for internal management meetings
• Provide mentorship and leadership to junior team members
• Participate in on-site project phases
• Carry out contract administration and on-request site observation duties

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proficiency in relevant design software, including but not limited to Revit BIM360 and AutoCAD
• Competent in Microsoft 365
• Ability to produce high-quality documentation for consents and tendering
• Strong capability in managing design stages and project coordination

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in New Zealand
• Proven experience working on both residential, multi-unit residential, and commercial projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Sound knowledge of NZ Standards (e.g. NZS 3604), NZ Building Code, and local construction practices
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively
• Applicants must be New Zealand residents or hold a current valid work permit
