Job summary

Horizon Services Limited (HSL) is seeking a Design Engineer Team Leader to lead network design, estimation, and project management for electricity distribution projects. Based in Matamata or Pukekohe, you will oversee the design of new connections, network upgrades, and capital works while mentoring Design and Graduate Engineers to maintain technical excellence.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years' experience within the electricity distribution industry.
• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Proven experience in power network design, estimation, project management, and contractor management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver detailed overhead and underground network designs, cost estimates, and engineering solutions for customer and internal projects.
• Manage projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery within budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
• Prepare engineering calculations, construction work packs, technical reports, business cases, and recommendations.
