Job summary

Horizon Energy Group – Whakatāne, North Island is seeking an experienced electrical engineering professional to provide engineering design, estimating and project management for electricity distribution projects.

You will support new customer connections, network upgrades, subdivisions and internal capital works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to industry standards. 3–5 years' experience and a Bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 3–5 years in electricity distribution
• Experience in project management and contractor coordination
• Knowledge of overhead network design and estimating
• Strong planning and communication skills
• NZ driver's licence

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed network designs, cost estimates and project documentation for overhead and underground distribution projects
• Manage projects from concept to completion including scheduling, budgeting and reporting
• Coordinate contractors, stakeholders and service providers for successful delivery
• Conduct site assessments, audits and quality checks for compliance with standards
• Support customer applications for new supplies and capacity upgrades
• Maintain strong customer relationships and deliver professional service outcomes
• Contribute to health, safety and continuous improvement initiatives across the business
