Job summary

Contact Energy is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team in Mount Victoria, North Island. You will help build and improve our data platform, delivering trusted, scalable data solutions that empower our business squads.

You'll work with Databricks, SQL, Python and Spark, collaborating across teams to unblock work, optimise pipelines and support a fast-moving data environment. This fixed-term role runs to May 2027 with flexible working options and a strong benefits

Qualifications

• Hands-on Databricks experience.
• Strong SQL capability and Linux/Git proficiency.
• Python and Spark for data pipelines and platforms.
• Experience building and improving data pipelines and data platforms.
• Bonus: AWS, Apache Airflow, SAP exposure.
