Job summary

Datacom is seeking a Databricks Data Engineer to join our growing Data & Analytics team in New Zealand. You will work on a broad range of customer projects, translating business requirements into scalable data solutions using Databricks, Snowflake, and related tools.

You will collaborate with software developers, data scientists, DW engineers and data storytellers to design data architectures that enable insights and innovation for our customers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related field
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Databricks development
• Experience developing and deploying data pipelines into live environments
• Strong coding skills in Python, Java, Scala, C++, C# or similar
• Experience with Databricks, DBT and/or Coalesce
• Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
• Knowledge of SQL Server, Redshift or similar relational DBs
• Experience with Apache Spark and distributed data processing
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps
