Auckland Council is seeking a Senior Data Lead – Analytics Automation to join the Data team, reporting to the Head of Analytics. This high-impact role shapes how data drives city development and operations, with a focus on modern data platforms and scalable analytics delivery.

You will lead the adoption of patterns, reusable data assets, and an AI strategy while supporting a hybrid working environment and a large, diverse organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading analytics, reporting and technical teams in large, complex organisations.
• Proven ability to design scalable analytics processes and uplift data literacy.
• Track record implementing modern data platforms and enterprise reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop patterns and standardised ways of working for analytics teams.
• Create reusable data assets to accelerate delivery of analytics.
• Migrate critical enterprise reporting and data assets to a new Modern Data Platform.
• Develop analytics and artificial intelligence strategy.
