Job summary

Auckland Council is seeking a Senior Data Lead - Analytics Automation to join its Data team and report to the Head of Analytics. This role drives analytics excellence, leads platform initiatives and shapes the organisation's data maturity within a large local authority.

The role focuses on building reusable data assets, standardising analytics practices and delivering insights at pace through a modern data platform, while enabling AI strategy and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in analytics, reporting and technical leadership in large, complex organisations.
• Leading implementation of a new platform/technology in a modern data tech stack.
• Design and implement scalable processes to deliver analytics at pace.

Responsibilities

• Develop patterns and standardised ways of working for analytics teams.
• Develop reusable data assets to accelerate analytics delivery.
• Migrate critical enterprise reporting and data assets to a new Modern Data Platform.
• Develop analytics and AI strategy.
