Job summary

RWA People is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to shape a modern data platform in Christchurch. You will lead the design of scalable Snowflake-based data solutions and robust data models, with a focus on reliable information layers for analysts across the business.

You'll own end-to-end data ingestion, transformation and modelling, influence engineering standards, and mentor junior colleagues while shaping the platform's evolution in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive SQL, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing experience.
• Strong data modelling and dimensional modelling skills.
• Commercial Snowflake experience with cloud data architecture such as Azure.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale data pipelines and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data solutions within Snowflake.
• Develop dimensional data models and warehouse structures.
• Create and maintain complex data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Translate business needs into reusable information layers for analysts.
• Help establish engineering standards, patterns and practices.
