You will design, build and support scalable data solutions within a modern Databricks environment, delivering robust data pipelines and collaborating with developers, data specialists and business stakeholders.
The role requires 5+ years in data engineering with strong Databricks expertise (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows), Python/PySpark and SQL, plus CI/CD experience.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join an established data team on an initial six-week contract, supporting a key data project in Christchurch.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who can quickly get up to speed, work independently and contribute to the design, development and support of modern data products and services.
You’ll be working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment alongside developers, data specialists and business stakeholders. The engagement will also include knowledge transfer and handover support around a planned period of leave.
