Job summary

Data Engineer Consultant role across Auckland and Wellington, NZ. This position offers a digital/agile environment with a mix of WFH and onsite client work.

You will work across the full data stack, from backend data warehouses to analytics dashboards, collaborating with a dynamic team in a local client environment. The ideal candidate has strong SQL, data warehousing, ETL, and Databricks experience, with ability to translate business needs into data models and write complex queries.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of SQL and/or other database solutions.
• Proficiency in Data warehousing and ETL tools.
• Experience in Databricks is a must.
• Experience in data modelling techniques.
• Ability to translate business requirements into conceptual and logical data models.
• Ability to create SQL queries, Stored Procedures, and User-Defined Functions.
• Exposure to visualisation and dashboarding (PowerBI, Tableau etc) would be a nice to have.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced agile environment with tight deadlines.
• Strong customer service skills to both internal and external clients.
• Bonus: AWS, Azure and Snowflake.

Our client is looking for a Data Engineer who’s looking to take the next step in their career and learn from the best in the business.
