Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven Data Engineering experience within a consulting, professional services or client-facing environment with strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
• Strong hands-on expertise with dbt and Databricks.
• Experience designing and delivering modern data pipelines, transformations and data models.
• Good commercial acumen and an understanding of how technical decisions impact project and business outcomes.
• Relevant Databricks, dbt, cloud or data engineering certifications.
• A pragmatic, delivery-focused approach and the ability to work effectively across multiple clients and projects.

About the role
We're looking for experienced Data Engineers to join a growing data and technology consultancy in Auckland.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex data problems but is equally comfortable working directly with clients, understanding their business needs and translating those into practical, commercially sound solutions.

You'll work across a range of client environments and projects, designing and delivering modern data solutions with a particular focus on dbt and Databricks. You'll be responsible for:
