Job summary

Genesis Energy NZ is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to drive business analysis across data, analytics, automation and AI initiatives. You’ll lead discovery, shape requirements and ensure solutions are practical, valuable and adopted across Genesis.

You will connect business needs with data and technology solutions, lead analysis independently, and collaborate with multidisciplinary delivery teams to deliver outcomes that matter.

Qualifications

• Experience leading discovery to define business problems, outcomes and Data & AI use cases.
• Translate complex business needs into clear requirements, user stories and criteria.
• Experience creating delivery artefacts for Agile or hybrid teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery to define business problems, opportunities, outcomes and Data & AI use cases.
• Translate complex business needs into clear requirements, user stories, process designs, acceptance criteria and delivery artefacts.
• Partner with sponsors, product owners and tech teams to prioritise requirements based on value and feasibility.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to build clarity and alignment.
• Support testing, business readiness and adoption with governance, privacy and responsible AI standards.
