Job summary

Tiaki Wai is seeking two Senior Engineers - Connections to join the Compliance and Major Developments team. You will provide expert engineering advice on water, wastewater and stormwater connections for large developments, ensuring compliance with legislation and standards.

You will collaborate with councils, developers and internal teams to assess complex connections and deliver safe, sustainable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Environmental) or significant post-qualification land development experience.
• Strong knowledge of three waters infrastructure, land development consenting, subdivision compliance and civil engineering standards.
• Experience interpreting and applying legislation, codes of practice and engineering specifications.
• Excellent communication, relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and approve complex three waters connections for large subdivisions and development applications.
• Provide expert technical advice to developers, councils and internal stakeholders on water and drainage connections.
• Lead the review of plans, inspections, testing data and as-built documentation, identifying risks and recommending solutions.
• Provide senior technical oversight, mentoring and quality assurance across the team.
• Build strong relationships with councils, developers and industry partners to enable high-quality infrastructure outcomes.
