Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Security Engineer focused on cloud security to design and maintain robust security for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will identify vulnerabilities, craft mitigation plans, and ensure compliance with major standards while guiding DevSecOps integrate security into CI/CD.

The role is remote-first with global clients; 5+ years in security and strong cloud expertise are required, with opportunities for professional development and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Cybersecurity/IT or related field.
• 5+ years in information security with strong cloud security focus.
• Proven experience securing AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Knowledge of IAM, network security, and data protection.
• Hands-on with security tools: SIEM, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection.
• Understanding of IaC and security implications.
• Scripting in Python or Bash for security automation.
• Security certifications such as CISSP/CCSP are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security controls for cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud infra.
• Perform security assessments, vulnerability scans, and pen tests.
• Monitor security alerts and incidents; lead response efforts.
• Implement and manage security tools (SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAFs).
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR; support DevSecOps in CI/CD.
