Job summary

Stats NZ in Wellington is seeking a Senior Security/DevSecOps Solutions Engineer to lead the design and implementation of secure cloud, infrastructure, middleware, and applications.

You will provide technical leadership across development, operations and security, promote secure-by-design practices, and support the adoption of secure cloud technologies within a specialist team that strengthens Stats NZ's security capability and resilience.

Qualifications

• Security-first mindset with privacy-by-design experience in cloud/app environments.
• Strong collaboration across delivery teams, infra, architects, and data specialists.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills for diverse audiences.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security controls, standards, and practical deployment.
