Job summary

Brian Perry Civil is seeking an experienced Project Manager to own delivery from planning through completion on complex civil works. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, managing safety, risk, and client outcomes across sites in Hamilton or Tauranga with periods away as required.

The ideal candidate brings a Civil Engineering degree, 10+ years in complex civil infrastructure, and proven success with Tier 1 contractors, plus strong commercial acumen and communication skills.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years' experience delivering complex civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience with three waters, water, wastewater or concrete structures projects.
• Proven success delivering projects for a Tier 1 or major civil contractor.
• Strong commercial and contractual management capability.
• Excellent written communication skills, including formal reporting and contract correspondence.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and supporting the development of others.
• The flexibility to travel and work away from home during the week when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, contracts and commercial outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong client, consultant and stakeholder relationships.
• Lead and develop project engineers, supervisors and site teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
• Manage project reporting, contractual notifications and project documentation.
