Novalab is looking for an experienced Senior Cabinet Maker to join our team.

As a Senior Cabinet Maker, you'll play a key role in the manufacture and assembly of high-quality cabinetry and specialist fit-outs. You'll work from detailed drawings and specifications, assist in managing assembly projects from preparation through to completion, and help ensure every finished product meets our high standards for quality, accuracy and presentation. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute your experience and knowledge to the wider team, helping develop efficient manufacturing processes.
Work closely with the Assembly Manager to allocate tasks and manage workflow
Help coordinate and organise the assembly team to meet production requirements and deadlines
Ensure CNC-machined components move efficiently through the assembly process
Lead by example through hands-on assembly and quality workmanship
Assemble laboratory cabinets, benches, and specialist joinery
Read and interpret detailed joinery drawings and production documentation
Fit specialist hardware to bespoke joinery products
Ensure completed assemblies are accurately fitted and finished to a high standard
Carry out quality checks and help maintain consistent assembly standards across the team
Provide practical and technical support to other team members
5+ years' experience in cabinet making, joinery or specialist cabinetry
Previous experience supervising, leading or mentoring others is highly desirable
Experience working with compact laminate and other specialist laboratory-grade materials would be highly advantageous
The confidence and maturity to act as a senior member of the team
The ability to read and interpret detailed joinery and technical drawings
Strong knowledge of cabinetry construction, hardware and assembly methods
Excellent attention to detail and a genuine commitment to quality
Good organisational skills and the ability to help coordinate people and workflow
Strong practical problem-solving skills
The ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with the Assembly Manager and wider production team.
Immediate line manager would be the Assembly Manager and then the Manufacturing Manager, or in their absence the Managing Director.
