Job summary

Designa Kitchens in Canterbury is seeking a Cabinet Maker / Joiner to join our small workshop team. If you take pride in your workmanship and enjoy working with your hands, we'd like to hear from you.

You will manufacture and assemble custom kitchen cabinetry and joinery, read production drawings, and install hardware while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.

This full-time permanent role offers Monday to Friday hours in a supportive team with opportunities to develop your skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in cabinet making or joinery.
• High-quality workmanship.
• NZ residency and a current NZ driver license required.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing and assembling custom kitchen cabinetry and joinery.
• Reading and interpreting production drawings.
• Installing hardware and completing finishing work.
• Maintaining quality and meeting production deadlines.

About The Role:

Working as part of our workshop team, you'll be involved in the manufacturing and assembly of custom kitchens and joinery.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Manufacturing and assembling custom kitchen cabinetry and joinery
• Operating woodworking machinery and power tools safely
• Reading and interpreting production drawings
• Installing hardware and completing finishing work
• Working independently and with a team to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality

What We're Looking For:

The ideal person will:

• Has experience in in cabinet making, joinery, or similar woodworking trade
• Takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship
• Have strong work ethic and good attention to detail
• I reliable and takes responsibility for their work
• Can work independently as well as part of a team
• Has good time management and organisational skills
• Is willing to level and develop their skills
• Holds a current New Zealand driver license
• Currently resides in New Zealand and is legally entitled to work here

• $28 - $36 per hour, depending on experience
