Job summary

Arvion Services is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join a global fintech organization focused on cross-border payments. You will own complex backend challenges end-to-end, from API design to platform modernization, and provide technical leadership across teams.

You will design and own services for payments, multi-currency balances, and settlement, while driving reliability, security, and scalable architecture with modern cloud-native approaches.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of experience building and operating production-grade backend services end-to-end.
• Experience with C#/.NET; Java/Kotlin/Go also considered.
• Solid SQL and relational DB knowledge.
• Experience in automated testing within SDLC.
• Hands-on with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
• Strong AWS, CI/CD, and modern deployment practices (SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda).
• Deep software architecture, microservices, and event-driven systems understanding.
• Experience in payments/fintech or regulated industries.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own backend services supporting payments, multi-currency balances, onboarding, compliance, and settlement.
• Lead delivery of platform capabilities from problem definition to production launch.
• Build and maintain partner integrations and settlement infrastructure.
• Own production health, observability, reliability, incident response, and on-call support.
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Operations, Architecture, and Engineering teams.
