Deloitte New Zealand is seeking an experienced leader to drive governance, risk and internal audit engagements for large organisations. You will advise senior client stakeholders, deliver high-impact outcomes, and promote continuous improvement across assurance frameworks.

You will lead teams, shape strategies, and contribute to Deloitte's market profile through thought leadership and cross-offering collaboration. This role is Wellington-based and contract-oriented, with potential extensions.

Formación

• Approximately 8-12+ years' experience in governance, risk, controls assurance, internal audit, advisory, consulting, or related professional services environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex client engagements and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
• Strong knowledge of governance, risk management, internal control frameworks, regulatory compliance, and assurance methodologies.
• Experience designing and delivering business process improvement, operational risk, controls transformation, or assurance programmes.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and oversee complex controls assurance, governance, risk advisory and internal audit engagements for medium and large organisations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, providing strategic insights that support informed decision-making.
• Deliver high-quality, commercially focused outcomes that address client challenges while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Provide thought leadership across governance, risk, compliance, controls transformation, operational resilience, and assurance frameworks.
• Ensure engagements are delivered efficiently, meeting quality, budget, and risk management requirements.
