Job summary

Deloitte New Zealand in Christchurch is seeking an Audit Manager to lead engagements, maintain regulatory knowledge, and deliver high-quality audit outcomes. You will coach junior staff, manage client relationships, and present findings to senior management.

The successful candidate will bring strong IFRS knowledge, Big 4 experience, and a collaborative mindset to drive impactful results for clients and teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as an Audit Manager.
• Experience in a Big 4 audit environment.
• Strong technical audit and statutory reporting expertise.
• Deep IFRS knowledge.
• Proven ability to build effective client relationships.
• Experience coaching and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Leading and overseeing day-to-day operations of audit engagements.
• Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Preparing business reports and management letters for clients.
• Managing audit teams, including coaching and mentoring junior staff.
• Building and maintaining client relationships.
• Leading audit engagements and ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Presenting audit findings and recommendations to senior client management.
• Reviewing reports and other deliverables.
• Applying analytical thinking to audit and risk issues.
