Deloitte New Zealand in Auckland is seeking a Manager in Audit & Assurance with Banking & Financial Services expertise to lead complex external audit engagements for large banking clients. You will manage day-to-day engagement activities, coach junior staff, ensure quality and regulatory compliance (IFRS, IFRS 9, banking rules), and foster strong client relationships to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience as an Audit Manager within a professional services environment.
• Proven external audit experience with large banks and financial services organisations.
• Experience in a Big 4 audit environment.
• Strong technical audit and statutory reporting expertise.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience auditing complex financial services organisations, including exposure to banking products and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Leading and overseeing day-to-day audit engagement operations for banking and financial services clients.
• Managing multiple audit engagements concurrently with focus on quality and client service.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory, statutory and compliance requirements in banking and financial services.
• Preparing business reports and management letters with key findings and recommendations.
• Managing audit teams, coaching and developing junior staff.
