Westpac is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst to inform key risk and business decisions through data-driven insights. Based in New Zealand with hybrid work and modern Britomart offices, you’ll transform complex data into meaningful narratives, focusing on credit risk, ECL and RWA.

You’ll lead analytical work, partner with Risk, Finance and wider business, and contribute to improvements in reporting and insights.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in risk analytics, banking or a similarly complex analytical environment.
• Advanced SAS and SQL skills to interrogate large datasets.
• Strong forecasting, problem solving and ability to translate data into insights.

Working across areas such as portfolio performance, Expected Credit Loss (ECL) and Risk Weighted Assets (RWA), you'll uncover trends, solve complex problems and provide recommendations that support key business decisions.This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys diving deep into data, asking thoughtful questions and connecting the dots to tell a compelling story. You'll lead complex analytical work, partner with stakeholders across Risk, Finance and the wider business, and contribute to continuous improvements that strengthen the quality, efficiency and impact of our reporting and insights.You'll be joining a close-knit and supportive team that values collaboration, curiosity and learning.
