Job summary

SupaHuman AI Limited is seeking a Senior AI Engineer in Auckland to build AI systems used in real client environments. You’ll turn complex business problems into practical AI solutions, prototype rapidly with modern AI tools, and iterate directly with clients in real time.

You will lead technically across projects, set engineering quality standards, and mentor peers while delivering measurable impact for client outcomes. This is a hands-on, production-focused role at pace.

Qualifications

• Experience building AI solutions with LLMs and modern tooling.
• Strong software engineering background with Python; JS/TS a plus.
• Experience moving systems from prototype to production.
• Ability to work in ambiguity and move quickly.
• Strong client-facing communication.
• Focus on impact, not just output.

Responsibilities

• Turn complex business problems into working AI systems.
• Rapidly prototype solutions using modern AI tools (LLMs, RAG, agents, etc.).
• Iterate directly with clients—testing and refining in real time.
• Take solutions from concept through production-ready.
• Lead technically across projects, setting engineering quality.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to how we build as a business.
