Job summary

SupaHuman AI Limited is seeking a Senior AI Engineer in Auckland to build AI systems used in real client environments. You’ll turn complex business problems into practical AI solutions, prototype rapidly with modern AI tools, and iterate directly with clients in real time.

You will lead technically across projects, set engineering quality standards, and mentor peers while delivering measurable impact for client outcomes. This is a hands-on, production-focused role at pace.

Qualifications

• Work alongside Project Leads to turn complex business problems into working AI systems
• Rapidly prototype solutions using modern AI tools (LLMs, RAG, agents, etc.)
• Iterate directly with clients — showing, testing, and refining in real time
• Take solutions from early concept through to production-ready systems
• Lead technically across projects, setting the standard for engineering quality
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to how we build as a business

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience building AI solutions using LLMs and modern tooling
• Solid software engineering background (Python essential, JS/TS a plus)
• Experience taking systems from prototype → production
• Comfortable working in ambiguity and moving quickly
• Strong communicator — able to work directly with clients and stakeholders
• Someone who cares about impact, not just output
