Job summary

Fluid Recruitment in Christchurch is seeking a Senior BAS Accountant to join a leading mid-tier Chartered Accounting and Advisory firm in central Christchurch. You will manage rural and agribusiness client portfolios, prepare financial statements, GST and tax returns, and provide practical advisory support.

You should have 6+ years public practice experience in NZ, CA status or working towards, strong BAS and tax skills, and excellent communication to collaborate with farmers and partners.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience within New Zealand public practice
• Strong BAS, financial reporting and taxation experience
• Previous experience with agricultural, farming or rural business clients is highly desirable
• CA qualified or working towards CA qualification
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an established team

Responsibilities

• Provide practical business advisory services to farming clients, including budgeting, cash flow forecasting and financial performance analysis

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, becoming a trusted adviser to established agricultural businesses
