BDO Auckland is seeking a Senior Accountant in our Business Advisory team to help privately owned businesses improve financial performance and strategic decision-making. You will provide broad advisory support beyond compliance, working with a diverse client base in a collaborative environment.

You'll gain exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax and management reporting, while mentoring junior staff and partnering with managers and Partners to deliver practical solutions

Qualifikationen

• 3–5+ years' experience within a Business Advisory or CA environment.
• CA ANZ or ACCA qualification (or nearing completion).
• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Strong experience preparing financial statements, tax returns and management reporting.
• Exposure to cloud accounting platforms such as Xero and MYOB.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive mindset and a desire to develop as a trusted business advisor.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing Business Advisory team in Auckland.

In this role, you'll work closely with a diverse range of privately owned businesses, supporting their financial performance, growth plans and strategic decision-making. More than just compliance, you'll become a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate challenges and identify opportunities at every stage of their business journey.

You'll gain exposure to a broad range of advisory work, including financial reporting, management accounting, tax, budgeting, forecasting, business planning and strategic advice. Along the way, you'll work alongside experienced Managers and Partners while mentoring junior team members and contributing to a high-performing team culture.

What You'll Be Doing

What You'll Bring

Ideally, you'll have:
