Job summary

Deloitte Tauranga is seeking a Senior Consultant in Accounting and Reporting Advisory to help clients navigate complex external reporting challenges. You’ll apply IFRS and PBE IPSAS knowledge across industries, working with a supportive team in the Tauranga office.

Key focus areas include preparing financial statements, enhancing finance processes, and mentoring junior staff while delivering practical, client‑oriented solutions in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Full membership or working towards CA (or equivalent).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge including IFRS / PBE IPSAS.
• Experience with NZ Accounting Standards and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and pragmatic accounting solutions for client challenges.
• Prepare IFRS and PBE IPSAS financial statements.
• Improve processes and performance within clients' finance functions.
• Support clients through disruptive events (mergers, acquisitions, divestments).
• Assist clients with sustainability and performance reporting.
• Coach and develop junior team members.
