Job summary

Gallagher Group Limited in Hamilton is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Security team. This hands-on role focuses on developing and enhancing software powering Gallagher’s security solutions for customers worldwide.

You will work closely with technical support, product, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality outcomes, resolve complex challenges, and continuously improve performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with C# or C++ in commercial software development.
• Experience with SQL databases and modern development tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software components and features.
• Break down, estimate, and deliver development tasks within an agile environment.
• Support existing products through troubleshooting, debugging, and problem resolution.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and recommend solutions to complex challenges.
• Ensure software quality through testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Analyse system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with engineers, testers, and product stakeholders.
• Continuously develop your technical knowledge and contribute to team improvement initiatives.
